Paradise Budget Talks 2019

The Town of Paradise invites you to be part of Budget Talks 2019! Use our interactive budget simulator to let us know your priorities and feedback on various municipal services. We've included links and background information to help you learn more throughout the consultation.

This consultation was developed using information from Budget 2018. More information, including 2018 fees, mill rates and property taxes, is available on our annual budget page.

The results of the exercise will be reviewed and considered by Council and Senior Staff as part of the 2019 budget process.

The Town works hard to keep streets clear and safe from snow and ice. Snow clearing operations begin when five centimeters of snow has accumulated on the road surface. Road crews work as efficiently as they safely can under a variety of weather conditions to clear seven separate routes within the Town.

The Town offers Protective Services to ensure public safety, comfort, environmental cleanliness and more. Protective services include regional fire services, accounting for 81% of the overall cost. This area also incorporates inspecting and investigating private and public areas, as well as administering municipal and business licenses and permits to ensure compliance with Acts, bylaws and regulations.
